Director of Training Operations, ATW Training Solutions
Cathy Belmont's career as an organizational development professional spans over 20 years. She is skilled in facilitation, course and program development, blended learning, and talent management practices and programs. As Director of Training Operations, Cathy leads ATW’s team of facilitators and instructional designers.
Cathy has a BA from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master's degree in Training and Development from Drake University. She has been active in ATD (Association for Talent Development) and is a past president of the Central Iowa chapter. Cathy sits on the Board of Directors for Susan G. Komen Greater Iowa.
Cathy works to create growing, partnering relationships. She has successfully coached and mentored individuals, designed management and leadership development programs supporting company goals, created skill-based career paths for staff, and managed corporate performance management programs. She is dedicated to making a difference while contributing to enterprise-wide strategic and operational impact.
Senior Training Consultant, ATW Training Solutions
Dee is a learning and development professional with more than 30 years of experience contributing in a variety of industries, including computers, consumer products, defense, financial services, and agriculture. Prior to joining ATW, he spent 20 years with DuPont Pioneer providing training services and solutions in locations across the globe.
In every industry and company where he has worked, Dee’s consistent focus has been to provide people with skills enabling them to contribute at a high level, achieve results, work effectively with others, and experience career success. His primary areas of emphasis have been leader and manager skills development, performance management, team building, difficult conversations and conflict resolution, coaching/mentoring, change management, personal productivity, and communication/interpersonal effectiveness. Dee’s goal is to help create the kind of companies at which he would want his children to work.
Dee holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University. He was an adjunct instructor at Upper Iowa University for graduate level coursework on organizational development. He is active in the local chapter of ATD (Association for Talent Development) and for several years served on the board. His professional certifications include GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources.)
Dr. Bill Withers has over two decades of management and leadership experience in both business and education, and he is a two-time presenter at the International Conference on Business in Honolulu, which is where he fell in love with his “Aloha shirts!”
Bill has both studied and served organizations such as Proctor & Gamble, Ritz-Carlton, Disney, Four Seasons, Starbucks, and Southwest Airlines, and he was a contributing writer to three books in the areas of leadership and customer service.
After an early career working in the media and marketing business, Bill served 20 years as a professor and Leadership Fellow at Wartburg College in Northeast Iowa. He’s currently serving on the executive-leadership team for Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines, the largest church of its type in North America.
Dr. Withers continues to specialize in the areas of public relations, customer service, organizational change, and leadership.
Jesse Dougherty is a communications, public affairs and public relations specialist with over seven years of experience. An Iowa native, he has utilized his talents to advance critical policy and political agendas in Iowa, Wisconsin and nationally. Dougherty has placed print and broadcast pieces with many of the most prestigious national and regional media outlets and has overseen successful media relations initiatives in nearly every state in the country. He has worked with Fortune 50 companies and top national trade associations to raise attention and awareness for key business and manufacturing issues including renewable energy, health care, technology and immigration reform.
Makenzie Heddens is a public affairs professional with significant experience managing teams and organizations in policy strategy and execution. Prior to her work with Power Up Iowa, Heddens worked for several years at Iowa State University in the Office of the President leading a number of key projects on behalf of the university in its operations with the president, administration, alumni relations, and government affairs.
