    Job Description
    Main Street Nevada was recently selected to become a Main Street Iowa community and is looking for a full-time Executive Director.  This person will be responsible for planning, execution, and documentation of the Main Street policies and guidelines for historic preservation and economic development.  Primary roles will include bur are not limited to; Advocacy, Professional Development, Committee Oversight, Financial Management, Fund Raising, Governance, Meeting Participation, Personnel, Planning, Program Evaluation, Public Relations and Risk Management.  

    The applicant must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to build strong, collaborative and productive relationships, provide leadership, manage administrative duties, manage fundraising and maintain confidentiality.  

    Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.  Preference is for the degree or three years' experience to be in the area of business, public relations, planning, marketing, or related field.  Knowledge of the Main Street America program and historic preservation a plus.
