Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives Joins Iowa Economic Development Authority in Supporting Iowa’s S
DES MOINES, IA — The Iowa Chamber of Commerce Executives (ICCE) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) to assist in supporting Iowa’s small businesses.
In early August, IEDA announced a new e-commerce platform, Shop Iowa, that provides retailers a place to showcase their products and businesses. This statewide platform gives small business the opportunity to compete in the online economy, and it encourages Iowans to shop local.
“Our members are focused on connecting businesses with resources to assist in their growth and strengthen their communities,” said ICCE Executive Director Lane Till. “Shop Iowa offers the chance for small businesses to have an online presence during a critical time.”
ICCE is excited to assist in connecting this program with chambers of commerce across the state. ICCE and chambers alike continue to search for innovative ways to serve members – the majority of whom fall in the small business sector.
Formed in 1916 to enhance the professional development of local chamber executives and professional staff, ICCE continues as the first stop for reaching the business community of Iowa. Innovation with economic development, entrepreneurs and job creation are critical to the growth of local communities. ICCE’s leadership and staff work daily to prepare local chambers and business leaders to meet the changing demands on our local communities. Improving local communities strengthens Iowa.
